My stay at Semilla Verde Boutique Hotel was truly unforgettable, nestled in the lush highlands of Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos Archipelago. The property's twelve acres of private forest offer exclusive trails where giant tortoises roam freely, creating a unique and immersive experience. The staff, led by Cattya, were exceptional - attentive, accommodating, and truly made our stay a delight.The views from the balconies and terraces were nothing short of majestic, overlooking the Galapagos National Park and Marine Reserve, providing a serene backdrop to our days of exploration. The variety of wildlife spotted while hiking the property, including playful sea lions and iguanas, added to the enchanting atmosphere.We especially enjoyed the personalized touch of the welcome drinks upon arrival and the library of reference books about the Galapagos available in the lounge. The attention to detail extended to the delicious breakfasts, featuring freshly baked goods and Ecuadorian specialties, fueling us for our adventures.Despite being located in the highlands, a short taxi ride to the coast provided easy access to Puerto Ayora and nearby attractions, making it a convenient yet peaceful retreat.
